Food Grade Compliance
Food Grade FIBC Production Regulation in Transcontinental Group Food Grade FIBC Specifications:
  • Complies to Industrial Grade FIBC specifications
  • All the components in contact with the customer’s product must be of food grade
  • Material (both coated and uncoated fabrics, liners) Migration Test Reports i.e comply to European Regulation 1935/2004 and 2002/72/EC European directive plus its last regulation10/2011 are availableimage2
  • All the stitches must be outside the FIBC
  • If the FIBCs have a printing, paints must be of food grade
  • Non-fray fabric edges – i.e called CCP
  • All the staff must be regularly health-screened for any infections to eliminate any risk of contamination
  • Any possibility of contamination both inside andimage1 outside the FIBC must be eliminated
  • During palletizing of FIBCs, both coated PP fabric and PE films are used for covering.
  • All the stitches must be outside the FIBC
  • If the FIBCs have a printing, paints must be of food grade
  • All the components in contact with the customer’s product are 100% pure, virgin PP/PE. Usage of recycled materials are strictly prohibitedimage3
  • All the workplates in production zones are made of stainless steel
  • Pallets are made of plastics
  • Air supplied to the inside of the blown film is filtered by HEPA H13 filters
  • FIBCs are passed into magnetic detectors (ferrous, non-ferrous, stainless steel detectable)i.e called CCP
  • Fabric Coating, liner production and fabric cutting are processed at the completely closed zones against the dust. Pressure in the closed-zones is higher  with respect to outer environment

  • Rooms are supplied with positive pressurized and filtered (>G3) air
  • Centralized vacuum cleaning system is used for cleaning the floors and all the sewing machines are also connected to the central  vacuum system for impurity suction.
  • No teflon and fiberglass use in production zones
  • All lubricants used in food grade production zones comply to FDA regulations
  • Process air (pressurized air) is evacuated outside
  • Hot cutting fumes are evacuated from the production environment

  • Made with baffles on the inside that distribute the weight of the product evenly throughout the bag
  • Baffles help stabilize the bag and help to reduce any product shifting during the transportation process
  • Circular fabric has a reinforcement panel on the body
  • This style comes with cross corner loop attachments that are attached on the reinforcement panel of the fabric
  • Circular bags are made from a fabric that is woven in a circular loom
  • Fabric that is being woven in a continuous tube and then is cut to the appropriate sized height
  • Circular bags are an excellent alternative to 4-Panel bags
Pharma Grade
  • FIBC’s are produced in the Clean Room validated for ISO 8 class according to ISO 14644 and Eudrolex
  • Information note is located on the FIBC’s safety label and stitched on the top/edge of the FIBC
  • Palletized FIBC’s are packaged in PE bags sealed by welding or self-adhesive tape
  • Metal detection and extra cleaning processes are applied to the Pharma Grade Bag in order to prevent foreign particles in the bag
  • Loose threads and tapes, excess lamination parts are prevented from being inside Pharma Grade bags
  • Complies to Food Grade FIBC specifications
  • ‘ FIBC manufactured in clean room ISO 8 ’ information note on the FIBC’s Safety label and stitched properly on top/edge of the FIBC

Type C
  • Type C has interwoven conductive threads which are all reliably interconnected and MUST BE GROUNDED. Dangerous static charge is safely dissipated to ground
  • Type C bags do not cause any discharges. But the most important condition is a reliable connection to ground during filling and emptying operations
  • Type C To prevent grounding errors, Type C bags are additionally equipped with conductive loops in order to achieve contact to the hoist system, providing it has a path to ground
Type D/ Blue Chromiq
  • Type D antistatic FIBCs are designed to be static safe from the point of view of electrostatic discharges from the fabric surface even when used unearthed. It is understood that if a sensitive flammable atmosphere exists the FIBC itself is only one potential source of electrostatic ignition and full antistatic precautions should be taken on all materials within the atmosphere.
  • Unlike Type C FIBC's, Type D FIBC's do not require grounding.
  • Can be used for the transportation of flammable powders, or when flammable solvents or gases are present around the FIBC..
  • It provides safety equal to a grounded Type C FIBC without the human error risk factor.
  • Type D fabric permits the dissipation of the charges in to the atmosphere by corona discharge.
  • A corona discharge is one form of an electrostatic discharge with a low energy, unlike sparks or brush discharges; it does not give way to ignition of flammable or explosive atmospheres. Chromic Blue

UN Certified
  • UN bags are produced according to UN recommendations and regulations refer to transportation type.
  • Transcontinental Group holds more than 100 different UN certificates for the manufacturing of their special FIBCs; each of them has its unique features for different applications.
  • Before FIBC production, UN tests are performed at internal test center which is inspected by international test institutes such as BVI.
